About The Position
As a Security Officer - Warehouse Gatehouse in Nazareth, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, log visitors and deliveries, and monitor assigned areas to help reduce security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible, and deliver clear, professional communication and customer service. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Control access at entry points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining entry and exit logs, and directing deliveries to designated check-in areas.
- Screen and coordinate incoming and outgoing vehicle traffic by checking shipping documentation, supporting dock and yard traffic flow, and reporting discrepancies to site leadership per post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting events and notifying Allied Universal supervision and/or site contacts as required.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter access points to help to deter unauthorized activity, and report maintenance concerns and/or suspicious conditions.
