Job Description As a Security Officer - Warehouse Gate Patrol in LOS ANGELES, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will conduct routine interior and exterior patrols, support access control and badge checks, and document security-related activity using a computer and/or tablet. You will stay highly visible, respond to calls for service, and deliver professional customer service to staff and visitors. At Allied Universal, you will bring integrity, teamwork, and an agile, reliable approach every shift.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Possession of a guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients at a financial services location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols of offices, lobby areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify irregular conditions.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services and/or site leadership when appropriate.
- Monitor access points and observe incoming and outgoing traffic, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations according to post orders.
- Complete detailed reports and daily activity logs, documenting patrols, incidents, and/or service requests, and communicate updates to supervisors and on-site contacts.
