About The Position

As a Security Officer - Warehouse Entry Screener in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling designated logistics and distribution areas. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to promote a secure environment, and interact with individuals to provide outstanding customer service. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
X ray screening experience is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as needed.
Screen individuals, packages, and/or materials entering or exiting the logistics and distribution location in accordance with established protocols.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
Monitor and control access points, verifying credentials and maintaining logs as required by site procedures.
Communicate and collaborate with team members and site management to address security-related concerns and maintain a secure environment.
Document and report any suspicious activity, incidents, or irregularities according to company and client procedures.
