As a Security Officer - Logistics Entry Guard in Hagerstown, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a logistics and distribution environment, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, engaging with individuals on site, and delivering exceptional customer service. Requirements

A guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Perform screening of individuals, vehicles, and/or packages entering the logistics and distribution location to help to deter prohibited items from entering the premises.
Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and delivery personnel with inquiries and directions as needed.
Follow site-specific security-related procedures and protocols to maintain order within the location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to observe for unusual activity and help to deter unauthorized access.
Complete required reports and documentation related to screening, incidents, and daily activities.
Communicate clearly and professionally with Allied Universal management, site personnel, and emergency responders as needed.
Participate in emergency response activities according to site protocols.
