As a Screener with Allied Universal at a community-focused location, you will greet visitors, verify access, and conduct entry screening using X-ray equipment and other tools. You will stay highly visible, document activity using a computer and/or tablet, and communicate clearly with staff and guests to help support a positive experience. Requirements

Have at least 6 months of security experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Screen individuals entering the location by verifying identification, confirming appointments and/or authorization, and directing visitors to the appropriate area.
Conduct entry screening as required, which may include visual inspections of carried items, use of screening equipment, and asking screening-related questions in a professional manner.
Maintain visitor, delivery, and contractor logs, issue and collect badges and/or passes, and document screening results per site procedures.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and promptly notify site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision as needed.
Monitor assigned areas for unusual activity and help to deter unauthorized access through presence, observation, and reporting.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter when assigned.

Complete reports such as incident reports, shift activity logs, and/or other documentation in a clear and timely manner.
