About The Position

As a Security Officer - Visitor Entry Driver in Gainesville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced food and beverage location, where you will manage access control and help maintain smooth site operations. You will greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, control entry points, monitor activity, document security-related events, and communicate clearly with site teams. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license in line with AU Driver Policy Requirements. Bring integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach every shift.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery drivers by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage location.
  • Control access at entry points by checking identification and/or credentials, issuing visitor authorization as directed, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing authorized persons to the proper areas.
  • Screen incoming and outgoing traffic such as passenger vehicles and tractor trailers by verifying appointments, bills of lading and/or shipping documentation per site policy, and communicating with on-site contacts as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting activity and notifying site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision according to post orders.
  • Conduct routine and random checks of entry areas, gates, and nearby perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity, and report maintenance or access control issues observed.
