About The Position

As a Security Officer - Visitor Check-In in Hueytown, AL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic facility where you will support access control operations by welcoming visitors, verifying credentials, issuing and tracking badges, and monitoring entry points and alarms. You will complete routine patrols, document security-related activity using a computer and/or tablet, and communicate clearly with staff and guests. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, contractors, and employees by following site-specific access control procedures and Allied Universal policies.
  • Control entry and exit at designated access points by checking identification, verifying authorization, issuing temporary credentials when required, and maintaining visitor and contractor logs.
  • Monitor alarm panels, access control systems, and/or video surveillance for security-related concerns and report unusual activity according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate on-site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Complete routine tours of assigned areas as directed by post orders, documenting observations, reporting maintenance or security-related issues, and assisting with emergency response activities when appropriate.
