Job Description As a Security Officer - Visitor Check-In in Philadelphia, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will greet visitors, verify credentials, manage access control and badge activity, and monitor entry points and cameras to help identify security-related concerns. You will be a calm, professional presence, communicating clearly with employees, drivers, and guests while supporting a smooth operation. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and employees by following site-specific policies, access procedures, and security-related protocols at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Staff the front desk and monitor entry points by verifying identification, authorizations, and delivery and/or pickup documentation, and directing visitors to appropriate locations.
  • Operate front desk systems and communications equipment to receive calls, answer inquiries, and coordinate with on-site personnel regarding arrivals, departures, and access requests.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting details, and assisting with emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation, maintain front desk logs, and report maintenance or security-related concerns to Allied Universal supervision and/or site management.
