As an Allied Universal Security Officer in a busy logistics and distribution location, you will support access control at entry points, greet drivers and employees, verify credentials, manage visitor logs, and monitor activity to help identify security-related concerns. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help discourage incidents, and communicate clearly with site teams. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Control access to the facility by verifying identification, processing visitors, vendors, and drivers, issuing temporary badges as directed, and maintaining entry and exit logs.
  • Monitor gates, dock areas, and entry points for unusual activity, report concerns, and help to deter unauthorized access through consistent screening and presence.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the building, yard, and perimeter, and document observations, hazards, and policy issues in reports and logs.
