You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. Provide clear communication, assist visitors and employees with professionalism, and document activity using site systems. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Have access control and/or badge experience preferred.
  • Have customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Control access at a logistics and distribution location by checking identification, verifying appointments, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining entry and exit logs for employees, visitors, and drivers.
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff and transportation partners to confirm dock assignments, direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic to approved areas, and help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document activity through reports and required notifications.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of gate areas, parking lots, building entrances, and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
