About The Position

As a Security Officer - Vehicle Patrol Driver in Smyrna, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will help maintain a welcoming environment by conducting routine mobile patrols and highly visible presence across the location. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy requirements. You will observe and report security-related activity, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and deliver customer service that reflects our agile, reliable, innovative, people-first culture built on teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity.
Control access by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials when required, and directing visitors, vendors, and drivers to designated areas.
Document patrol observations, incidents, and unusual activity in written reports and/or electronic logs, and communicate updates to site leadership as needed.
