About The Position

As a Security Officer - Vehicle Patrol Driver in Smyrna, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will help maintain a welcoming environment by conducting routine mobile patrols and highly visible presence across the location. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy requirements. You will observe and report security-related activity, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and deliver customer service that reflects our agile, reliable, innovative, people-first culture built on teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Control access by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials when required, and directing visitors, vendors, and drivers to designated areas.
  • Document patrol observations, incidents, and unusual activity in written reports and/or electronic logs, and communicate updates to site leadership as needed.
