Job Description As a Security Officer - Shopping Center Vehicle Patrol in York, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence throughout the area. This primarily driving post offers the opportunity to interact with the public, deliver outstanding customer service, and communicate clearly while supporting a caring, team-oriented culture built on integrity and innovation.

Requirements

This is primarily a driving post. A valid driver license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and observe for any unusual conditions.
Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted activity.
Document and report security-related incidents and observations according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
Assist with access control and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas as directed by site procedures.
Communicate and collaborate with store management and law enforcement when necessary to address security-related matters.
