Job Description As a Security Officer - Vehicle Patrol Driver in Sturgis, MI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements, supporting mobile patrol and quick response. You will deliver outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and represent Allied Universal with integrity, teamwork, and a caring, innovative mindset.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and reporting concerns per site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, corridors, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow, assisting with badge checks, directions, and support for after-hours access requests per site guidelines.
  • Complete routine documentation such as incident reports, patrol logs, and shift activity summaries, and communicate updates to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
