About The Position

As a Security Officer Vehicle Patrol Driver in Oakdale, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy healthcare location as an unarmed Patrol Officer in a primarily driving post. You will drive and walk assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, assist staff, patients, and visitors with directions and concerns, and communicate clearly with your team. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and security-related procedures within a healthcare location, and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, suspicious activity, and urgent medical facility alerts, and notify site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
  • Monitor access points and complete access control tasks such as checking identification and/or visitor authorization, providing directions, and helping maintain orderly traffic flow in lobbies, corridors, and public areas.
  • Document security-related activities, incidents, and patrol findings in written reports and electronic systems, and communicate updates to site contacts during shift turnover.
