As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and support store teams and guests with strong customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Bring an agile, reliable mindset, work as one team, and act with integrity while helping identify and respond to security-related concerns.
Requirements
- Be 21+ years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Guard card/license - preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to associates, guests, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a retail environment.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical calls, and fire or alarm activations.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, stock areas, entrances and exits, and exterior perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
- Observe customer and associate activity for suspicious or unusual behavior and help to deter theft, property damage, and policy violations through high visibility presence and timely reporting.
- Complete required reports and logs, document incidents, and communicate key information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision as needed.
