About The Position

As an unarmed patrol officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will complete routine patrols and frequent vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and provide clear, professional customer service to employees and visitors. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy requirements. You will support a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that delivers through teamwork and acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, tank farms, warehouses, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Control access at gates and/or building entry points by verifying identification, logging visitors and vehicles, issuing temporary credentials as directed, and directing traffic flow as needed.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and radio traffic; document observations in daily activity reports and/or electronic logs; and report maintenance issues, unusual conditions, and/or procedural concerns through the chain of command.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with evacuations, securing incident scenes, and coordinating notifications to site leadership and/or emergency services.
