About The Position

As a Security Officer - Vehicle Patrol Driver in Anchorage, AK, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will provide professional customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting while supporting a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, property policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout commercial real estate areas including lobbies, corridors, stairwells, parking areas, and building perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
  • Monitor access points and observe for unusual activity, potential hazards, and/or policy violations, and help to deter unauthorized entry through presence and professional communication.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and notifying management and/or public services as needed.
  • Complete routine reports, patrol logs, and incident documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts during shift turnover.
