About The Position

As a Security Officer - Vehicle Patrol Driver Gated Community in Ladera Ranch, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a residential community, you will complete routine vehicle patrols, stay highly visible, and report security-related concerns while delivering strong customer service to residents and visitors. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license in line with AU Driver Policy Requirements. Requirements

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors and/or visitors by following post orders, site-specific policies and security-related procedures, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout residential streets, common areas, amenities and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or property concerns.
  • Respond to alarms, calls for service, disturbances and/or other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with property management and local emergency services as needed.
  • Monitor access points and community rules compliance, assisting with visitor entry procedures, parking concerns and/or after-hours checks in accordance with site guidelines.
  • Document patrol activity, incidents and observations in written reports and logs, including taking statements and preserving information for follow-up when needed.
