You will complete routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, document observations, and communicate clearly with site teams and visitors. Bring strong customer service and professionalism as you respond to issues and report activity. Requirements

• Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific, security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision as required.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, operational areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards, unusual conditions, or policy violations.
• Monitor access points, verify identification and/or authorization as directed, and assist with visitor and contractor check-in processes consistent with site requirements.
• Complete routine logs and incident reports, communicate via radio and/or phone, and support security-related drills and inspections in accordance with post orders.
