Job Description As a Security Officer - Utilities Unarmed Patrols in Oakland, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and provide a visible presence. You will interact with individuals on-site, deliver exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly while supporting a secure environment. Requirements

Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
Observe and report on activities and incidents, documenting any irregularities found during patrols.
Communicate with Allied Universal management and/or client representatives regarding incidents or concerns observed during shifts.
Assist visitors and employees at the location with directions and general inquiries.
Remain alert to potential hazards or security-related risks unique to a utilities environment, taking appropriate action when necessary.
