About The Position

As a Security Officer - Utilities Site Patrol Driver in FAIRFAX, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will conduct routine vehicle patrols across the premises, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. Your role includes monitoring access points, assisting visitors, and delivering outstanding customer service. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for covering a variety of areas throughout your shift, all while embodying our values of integrity, teamwork, and putting people first.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Primarily driving post is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor access points and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to management and/or law enforcement as needed.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or irregularities observed during patrol.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and employees while upholding Allied Universal's standards for customer service.
  • Support the implementation of site-specific procedures related to utilities locations, including adherence to protocols for restricted areas and/or critical infrastructure.
