As a Security Officer with Allied Universal assigned to a utilities location, you will play an important role in access control, monitoring entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a secure environment. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, staying highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to everyone you encounter. This position requires a valid driver's license and may involve driving responsibilities as part of your daily duties. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required for positions that involve driving responsibilities.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the utilities location.
• Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or potential threats within the premises.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for utilities environments.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and/or security-related concerns.
• Maintain detailed logs of activities, observations, and/or incidents as required by site procedures.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and/or team members to support a secure environment.
• Assist with the implementation of emergency procedures and/or evacuation protocols as needed.
