As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for all personnel and visitors. Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Assist with access control by verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized individuals at the utilities location.
• Monitor security-related systems including cameras and alarms to help to deter unauthorized access or suspicious activities.
• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by responding to inquiries and guiding them as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report any unusual findings.
• Follow site-specific procedures and protocols for handling emergencies and/or security-related events.
• Document all incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.
• Collaborate with onsite personnel and/or emergency responders as required during incidents or drills.
