About The Position

As a Security Officer - Utilities Perimeter Patrol in Livermore, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will conduct regular patrols and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. By providing outstanding customer service and communication, you will play a key role in fostering a secure environment. This is a driving post, requiring you to navigate the premises as part of your patrol responsibilities while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Requirements

At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the utilities location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or unauthorized access. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance issues discovered during patrols.
Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and reporting any irregularities.
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding incidents or concerns.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and any actions taken during the shift.
