Job Description As a Security Officer - Utilities Patrol Weekdays in Rapid City, SD , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Unarmed Officer supporting a utilities location. In this role, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, help to deter security-related incidents, and maintain a visible presence. You will interact with staff and visitors, provide exceptional customer service, and contribute to a secure environment. Requirements

Graduate of Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or Equivalent is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help to deter unwanted activity.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the utility location and its perimeter, with working environments and conditions that may vary by site.
Observe and report security-related incidents, hazards, and/or suspicious activity as required.
Follow post orders and instructions provided by Allied Universal and site management.
Assist in controlling access to the location and monitor for unauthorized entry.
Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and/or employees as needed.
