About The Position

As a Security Officer - Utilities Patrol Watch in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will conduct regular patrols and monitor assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents. Your presence and professionalism will contribute to a secure environment for employees and visitors. This is a driving post, so you will operate a vehicle as part of your duties. Requirements

At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns within the utility location.
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management as needed.
Document observations and incidents according to site and Allied Universal protocols.
Assist with access control procedures to help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas.
