As an unarmed patrol officer at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming environment. Your presence and routine patrols will support a secure atmosphere for employees and visitors. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
CPR and/or first aid certification is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
This position is primarily a driving post and is preferred for candidates with driving experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the utility facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and support a secure environment.
Observe and report any unusual activity, maintenance issues, or security-related concerns within the location.
Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and/or contractors while performing assigned duties.
Assist in controlling access to restricted areas and verify credentials as required by site-specific policies.
Complete required reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
