About The Position

As a Security Officer - Utilities Patrol Full Time in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a utilities environment, you will conduct regular patrols throughout the location, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a highly visible presence. Your role involves monitoring assigned areas, assisting with access control, and providing outstanding customer service and communication to all visitors and personnel. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for patrolling the premises using a company vehicle. Requirements

  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the utility location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits as required by site protocols.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal and client site procedures.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs of patrols, incidents, and other security-related activities.
