About The Position

As a Security Officer - Utilities Patrol Driver in Miami Lakes, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a leading utilities location, you will be responsible for conducting unarmed patrols and monitoring assigned areas. This is a driving post, where your presence and attentive service help to deter security-related incidents and support a secure environment. You will interact with staff and visitors, providing outstanding customer service while embodying our values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help support the location's operations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Monitor and report any suspicious activity or potential hazards observed during patrols to Allied Universal management and/or site leadership.
  • Assist with access control procedures, verifying credentials and helping to direct visitors or contractors as needed.
  • Document incidents, observations, and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and first responders during emergencies or drills to support coordinated response efforts.
