About The Position

As a Security Officer - Utilities Patrol Driver in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol utility locations to help maintain a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the utility location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance needs within the location to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points as required.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or any security-related concerns encountered during patrols.
• Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and/or contractors to provide information or guidance as needed.
• Support Allied Universal management and adhere to all company policies and procedures while on duty.
