About The Position

As a Security Officer - Utilities Patrol Driver in Sparks, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer in a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post, requiring you to navigate the site and remain visible throughout your shift. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
  • Monitor access points and observe for any unusual or suspicious behavior, promptly reporting findings according to established procedures.
  • Document all activities, observations, and incidents in daily reports, maintaining accurate records as required by Allied Universal and client site expectations.
  • Assist visitors and employees by providing information and directions, while maintaining a professional presence on site.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary, supporting Allied Universal's emergency response protocols.
