You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond with clear communication and strong customer service. Working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity, you will help create a welcoming presence for students, staff, and visitors while documenting observations and reporting concerns.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Supervisory experience is required.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, campus-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an educational location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including calling for assistance and/or coordinating with campus staff and public responders as directed.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking lots, and surrounding grounds to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
Monitor access points and common areas during patrols, assist with visitor directions, and report maintenance concerns such as lighting outages, unsecured doors, and/or suspicious conditions.
Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity in written reports and/or electronic logs, and communicate key information to site leadership during shift transitions.
