Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required; some college education is desirable.
  • Must have reliable transportation that is accessible without restriction.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States.
  • Must be flexible and able to work traditional and nontraditional work hours.
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality are required.
  • Energetic and focused personality with a demonstrated ability to take initiative.
  • Professional, articulate, and able to use good independent judgment and discretion.
  • Must authorize and submit to background investigation, reference verification, and previous employer verification.
  • Ability to write effective and concise reports in Tarian's mobile reporting tool.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively.
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately.

Nice To Haves

  • Some college education is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a highly visible deterrent and as a deterrent to criminal activity while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a safe and secure work environment.
  • Notify supervisors and on-site client staff of any irregularities, suspicious activities, security breaches, and safety hazards.
  • Write and submit standardized reports that are prompt, professional, and accurate relative to the incident.
  • Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences.
  • Patrol and observe interior and exterior area of client properties in person or via surveillance systems to identify suspicious or unusual activity and to investigate as needed.
  • Respond to emergency situations according to Tarian and client policies & procedures.
  • Coordinate and assist first responder response to the client site and assist first responders while they are on site.
  • Applies policies and procedures appropriately based on existing circumstances.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Complete Pro-Act Restraint Training within the first 3 months of employment and recertify every 3 years.
