About The Position

As a Security Officer - Dispatch Driver in La Porte, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will coordinate security-related communications, track site activity, and support officers in the field with timely updates and clear direction. You will complete detailed reports, assist with incident response, and help keep operations running smoothly through strong customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, backed by our agile, reliable, innovative, people-first culture and integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to client personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities for a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
  • Dispatch and coordinate security-related responses by monitoring cameras, alarms, radios, and/or phone lines; relay accurate information to on-site staff and responding agencies as directed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations, actions taken, and notifications made per post orders.
  • Maintain detailed activity logs, incident reports, and communication records, including tracking access events, deliveries, and contractor movements when assigned.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, process areas, and the perimeter as directed; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
