About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control Driver in Kountze, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location supporting access control and security-related operations. You will greet employees and visitors, verify identification, manage entry logs, monitor alarms and cameras, and conduct routine patrols to help identify irregular activity. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in the job state. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing sign-in and/or sign-out logs, and directing visitors to authorized areas.
  • Screen and/or monitor incoming and outgoing vehicle and pedestrian traffic as required, including coordinating with site contacts for deliveries, contractors, and scheduled appointments to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting events, and supporting evacuations and/or shelter-in-place actions per site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, processing areas, and perimeter, observing for irregular activity and/or hazards, and promptly reporting concerns through approved channels.
