As a Patrol Unarmed officer in a chemical or petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A Transportation Security Administration issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential is required.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the needs of the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns, recognizing that working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor access points and report any unusual activity or potential hazards within the chemical or petrochemical location.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with client representatives, visitors, and Allied Universal management as needed.
  • Document and report incidents, observations, and activities according to site procedures and Allied Universal protocols.
  • Support the ongoing security-related operations of the location by maintaining awareness of site policies and procedures.
