Job Description As a Security Officer Field Patrol Agent in Mechanicsville, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with supervisors, site contacts, and/or public personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report maintenance, access, and/or security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verify access permissions when required, and document daily activities, observations, and/or incidents in accordance with site protocols.
• Support public-facing operations by providing directions, assisting with traffic and pedestrian flow when appropriate, and reporting hazards, disruptions, and/or suspicious behavior to the proper contacts.
