About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Specialist in Palm Coast, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a busy retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support customers and staff through strong communication and service, while reflecting a caring culture built on teamwork, integrity, and reliability in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details according to site protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, sales floor, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
Monitor for suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or operational concerns, and communicate with store management and/or local authorities when needed.
Support access and loss prevention-related efforts by observing entry and exit activity, documenting incidents, and assisting with crowd and customer flow during busy periods.
