As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech and media location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a highly visible presence that helps to reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control and respond to concerns with clear communication and customer-focused service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a tech-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of offices, common areas, loading and/or shipping areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Control access by monitoring entry points, verifying identification and/or credentials, managing visitor check-in, and documenting deliveries and contractor activity per site policy.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs, monitor cameras and/or security-related systems when assigned, and communicate observations and concerns to supervisors and site contacts.
