About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Vehicle Driver Patrol in Jacksonville, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government maritime location as an unarmed patrol officer in a driving post. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control and incident reporting. Requirements

A TSA issued TWIC is required.
Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

A guard card or license is preferred.
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government facility by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, access roads, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Control access at entry points by checking identification, monitoring gates and doors, and directing visitors and deliveries according to site procedures.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and/or public responders as required.
Complete shift reports and incident documentation, monitor cameras and alarm systems when assigned, and communicate observations to the Allied Universal supervisor and/or site management.
