About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Vehicle Driver Patrol in Jacksonville, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government maritime location as an unarmed patrol officer in a driving post. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control and incident reporting. Requirements

  • A TSA issued TWIC is required.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government facility by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, access roads, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Control access at entry points by checking identification, monitoring gates and doors, and directing visitors and deliveries according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and/or public responders as required.
  • Complete shift reports and incident documentation, monitor cameras and alarm systems when assigned, and communicate observations to the Allied Universal supervisor and/or site management.
