About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Upscale Residential in Wellington, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer supporting a residential community, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and assist residents and guests with professional customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post, so you will use a company-approved vehicle to cover the property, document activity, and work as part of a reliable, agile team that leads with integrity.

Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a residential community.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of community roads, common areas, amenities, and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Control access through gates and/or entry points by verifying authorization, issuing visitor instructions, and monitoring inbound and outbound traffic flow.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate resources and supporting arriving responders.
• Complete detailed reports and logs, monitor cameras and/or alarms when assigned, and communicate observed hazards or policy concerns to site leadership.
