About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Telecom Patrols in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents within the location, including areas where technology and media equipment may be present.
• Assist visitors and employees with directions and information as needed while maintaining a visible presence throughout the location.
• Work closely with Allied Universal management and client representatives to address security-related concerns specific to a technology, media, and telecom environment.
• Complete required reports and logs in a timely and accurate manner as part of daily duties.
