As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that can help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control, assist with badge processes, and use a computer and/or tablet to document activity and communicate clearly. Requirements

• Have 2+ years of security-related experience.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Have access control and/or badge experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical facility disturbances, access concerns, and suspicious activity.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interiors, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and visitor flow as assigned, verifying authorization, assisting with directions, and reporting irregularities per site policy.
• Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate observations to site leadership and/or emergency responders as required.
