About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Site - Multiple Shifts in Gastonia, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in an automotive location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas. Your primary responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, remaining visible to promote a secure environment, and providing exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and maintaining visitor logs to help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, observing for unusual activity and reporting findings as appropriate.
• Assist with enforcing property rules and/or regulations as directed by the client or Allied Universal.
• Communicate with Allied Universal management and client representatives regarding security-related matters and/or incidents at the location.
• Support emergency response efforts, including guiding occupants during drills or actual emergencies.
