Job Description As a Security Officer - Customer Service Post in West Palm Beach, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, support access control and/or screening activities, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will deliver strong customer service and clear communication while working with site teams to keep operations moving. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
  • X-Ray Screening Experience is preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouses, loading docks, parking areas and the perimeter, monitoring for unusual activity and/or hazards.
  • Control access for employees, drivers and visitors by verifying authorization, checking identification as required and directing traffic flow in designated areas.
  • Complete daily activity reports and incident reports, communicate with site contacts and dispatch as needed and support security-related operations during peak shipping and receiving periods.
