As a Security Officer - Unarmed School Patrols in Pasadena, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within an educational environment, helping to deter security-related incidents and promoting a welcoming atmosphere. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible on campus, and provide outstanding customer service and communication to students, staff, and visitors. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the location.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance needs encountered during patrols to the appropriate personnel.
Assist in controlling access to buildings and grounds, verifying the credentials of individuals entering the location as required.
Support Allied Universal management and site leadership with security-related tasks and communication as needed.
Document all incidents, observations, and activities in a clear and timely manner according to company and location requirements.
