As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at an education location, you will conduct routine patrols of campus areas, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and reports with clear communication. You will support students, staff, and visitors through professional customer service while documenting observations and working as part of a teamwork-driven, integrity-led culture that is agile, reliable, innovative, and people first.

Requirements

Have a minimum of 2+ years of security-related experience.
Possess a New Jersey RPO Certificate.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, staff, parents, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, athletic facilities, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
Monitor entrances and access points, verify authorization for entry, and assist with visitor management and/or sign-in procedures in accordance with location requirements.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with school administrators and/or local responders as directed.
Document and report observations, incidents, and maintenance or hazard concerns, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and location leadership.
