Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As a Screener at a government location, you will help monitor entry points, screen visitors and items, and support orderly access to the site. You will maintain a visible presence, document activity, and communicate clearly with staff and the public while responding to security-related concerns. Requirements

  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or have a college degree.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Operate entry screening procedures for people and belongings, including access control checkpoints, bag screening, and directing visitors and staff to the appropriate processing areas.
  • Observe for prohibited items and unusual activity during screening, helping to deter unauthorized entry and/or contraband, and report concerns per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site personnel and/or responding authorities as needed.
  • Complete required logs and incident reports, communicate screening results and access decisions to site contacts, and maintain the screening area in an orderly condition.
