As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will assist guests and tenants with friendly service, clear communication, and timely reporting. Requirements

• Have 2+ years of security experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Have access control and/or badge experience preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Have a guard card and/or license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail and mall location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate timely updates to site contacts and/or responding services as required.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of common areas, corridors, exterior walkways, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor access points and observe for suspicious activity, policy violations, and/or hazards, then take appropriate actions consistent with post orders and local requirements.
• Complete detailed reports of patrols, incidents, and customer interactions, and escalate concerns through the established chain of communication.
