About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Roving Patrol in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control and visitor flow, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff and guests while delivering strong customer service. Requirements

• Have 3+ years' combined law enforcement/military/security-related experience OR a college degree.
• Client requires proof of HS diploma/GED.
• Be at least 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Access Control/Badge Experience - preferred.
• CPR/First Aid - preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a financial institution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of lobbies, teller areas, offices, ATM areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and observe for unusual activity, assisting with queue management and directing visitors to designated areas per location procedures.
• Complete routine reports and incident documentation, communicate relevant information during shift turnovers, and support Allied Universal supervisors with assigned security-related tasks.
